Anne with an E Season 2
Anne with an E had another great
season from the creators. There were moments I thought were funny and
ones I found to be heartwarming.
Even though he was never
in the books, I liked seeing Cole. I felt he was Anne's equal in
everybody else thinking he was odd. Not that it was a bad thing. Just
that everyone thought he was odd because he was an artist, never hung
out with the boys... The same attitude they had when Anne first
arrived. I felt like Anne and Cole knew each other, even if they were
not friends for very long. They could be odd with each other that
nobody else could understand.
I liked the relationship
between Gilbert and Sebastian/Bash. They formed a strong brotherhood
in such a short amount of time that no one else of their skin colors
could understand. The whites and blacks all probably thought the two
of them were using each other to get something. I was always glad
when they stood up for each other or themselves over something
someone said.
What I found to be the
funniest thing out of all the episodes was when Anne met Bash.
Specifically when he met her because he had no idea what to think of
the girl with so many words. He was probably in shock that she could
speak so much. I think I would have if I were in his shoes.
I enjoyed this season
because some of the things that happened during the season opened the
minds of a few town residents to new ideas. One being that white and
black people could be friends because they are both people. Another
is that there are different ways to learn. Rather than just reading
about science in a book, you could have hands-on experience. Also
that with time moving forward, girls and women don't only have to
wear dresses or skirts but also pants. Another thing about time is
that people are always coming up with new ideas. When the residents
who did not like Miss Stacy's methods of teaching were shown
electricity from the students, the residents were then open to her
way.
With that being said, I
did enjoy, once again, the second season. And yes, I would still
recommend seeing this show.
