The Mandalorian Season 2

This season of The Mandalorian was a roller coaster for my emotions. Specifically the second half. I think that the first few episodes were more of an adventure thing while Din was trying to find someone to take the Child. I could not believe that it was months or a year since Din and the Child left in search of someone. I liked that their relationship seemed to have grown more since the first season finale. He seemed to be acting more of a father than someone on a mission. Granted, he was on a mission, but he was more fatherly than last season. One example is in the beginning of the second episode when the Child was held hostage. Din said that if any harm came to the Baby, the person would not be able to hide anywhere in the universe from Din. Then, after picking him up, he asked if he was okay. Another example was when he kept telling him no when the Child kept trying to eat/eating things he should not touch. The second half was such a joy! I thought for sure the Child was going ...

The Mandalorian Season 1

Originally, I was not going to watch The Mandalorian at all because it was not part of the movie story line. When I continued to see people going crazy over “Baby Yoda”, I had to see what the hype was all about. So, I ended up watching it in one day during a weekend in January. I have to admit I enjoyed it. I think what caused me to enjoy the show was the relationship between Mando/Din Djarin and Baby Yoda/the Child. I do have to say that when I started the first episode, I called the Child “Baby Yoda” because I did not know the time frame of the show. I originally thought that with Baby Yoda flying all around the internet, it was taking place when Yoda was a child. When I heard from the show that it was taking place after the original trilogy, I stopped using Baby Yoda and started using the Baby. This is all because I went into the show blind with the exception of a creature looking like Yoda. With that out of the way, I will talk about the show itself. I loved the moment when ...

Anne with an E Season 3

There were a lot of emotions I went through during the third season of Anne with an E . There were times where I was happy, mad, laughing, crying... Just so many emotions. I was happy to see Mary's son, Elijah, return because it was a family reunion. Then that happiness turned to me being mad when he became drunk and stole from Gilbert's family, followed by sadness when Mary only had weeks to live. One thing I was happy about following her death was when Elijah redeemed himself after reading the letter she wrote to him. I enjoyed it when Anne stood up for what was right when it came to the Indians and women. For the Indians, it was for them to be treated exactly like the white people. For women, it was for them to be heard and treated fairly. When a woman says no to something she does not want, she means no. Not for men to think that it is okay to do whatever he wants to her. I hated that Diana's parents essentially demanded she go to finishing school rather than se...

Anne with an E Season 2

Anne with an E had another great season from the creators. There were moments I thought were funny and ones I found to be heartwarming. Even though he was never in the books, I liked seeing Cole. I felt he was Anne's equal in everybody else thinking he was odd. Not that it was a bad thing. Just that everyone thought he was odd because he was an artist, never hung out with the boys... The same attitude they had when Anne first arrived. I felt like Anne and Cole knew each other, even if they were not friends for very long. They could be odd with each other that nobody else could understand. I liked the relationship between Gilbert and Sebastian/Bash. They formed a strong brotherhood in such a short amount of time that no one else of their skin colors could understand. The whites and blacks all probably thought the two of them were using each other to get something. I was always glad when they stood up for each other or themselves over something someone said. What I found t...

Anne with an E Season 1

I was shocked by all of the abuse Anne went through at the orphanage and her previous keeper through flashbacks. I understand the creators of the show wanted things to be realistic as to how orphans were treated back then but I had no idea that life was so much worse. I hated the other orphans who were terrible to Anne, especially the one who seemed to be the leader. I also hated the classmates and teacher who picked on her. I do have to say I loved it when Gilbert punched Billy. He did deserve what he got since he was messing with the wrong guy. I am happy that Anne was able to, even though it was slowly, make friends. I liked the contrast between Anne and Diana. You have one who is free-spirited and speaks her mind while the other is prim and proper since that was how she was raised. And yet, they got along so quickly. It was also nice that Diana stayed friends with Anne when the other girls their age thought Anne was a disgusting orphan for the things she said. Which, like Mat...
